Uganda to continue benefiting from British Airways multiple flights.-Uganda Safaris & Tours

British air ways is continuing to have its four times operation of flights to Uganda in a week and this is becoming important since this is helping in increasing the Uganda safaris, and also increasing the revenues of the country and developing the tourism industry. This is due to the easier movement of passengers to the country.
The return flights which are operated on Mondays, Fridays, and Wednesdays and also on Saturdays are always expected to depart from Entebbe at exactly at 1, which helps passengers in connecting to London within a few hours so that they can get on their continuing flights. This has helped increasing safari visits to Uganda since there is easy movement of international tourists.
This schedule has helped in offering better connections to the tourists who come for safaris in Uganda; this will help them to get better services through the new terminal. This will however help in improving safari tours to Uganda.

700 international tourists to witness the solar eclipse in Uganda.-Uganda Safaris & Tours news

According to paper by ministry of Tourism, the minister, Hon. Maria Mutagamba said that Uganda is expected to generate over 568,400 dollars from international tourists who are going to come for total eclipse viewing in Uganda, this will also help in increasing safari visits and also increasing the revenue of the country.
The minister of tourism also said that over 3000 domestic tourists are expected to attend to the viewing of the total eclipse; this is to help in increasing Uganda safaris and also developing the tourism sector in Uganda.
It has been noted that the tourism sector has been registering bookings from visitors coming to Uganda for the event; this means that there will be pressure on the accommodation facilities and services in the areas where the eclipse is going to happen. This means that the number of safaris to Uganda is going to be high.
This event is going to be used to market Uganda globally and there are many ministries which are going to help in effecting this in the country. This means that the tourists who will be coming to Uganda for safari tours are going to increasing, which will help in developing the country and also the tourism sector.

Mountain Elgon caldera is the largest in the world.

Mountain Elgon is considered to have the largest surface areas in the world or among the volcanoes in the whole world; it has also got many cliffs which have always attracted many Uganda safaris, this has helped in increasing the revenues of the country hence developing the tourism sector.

The Caldera has got many caves, waterfalls and gorges which are notable with the romantic Sipi falls; this caldera covers 40 square km at the top of mountain Elgon, this place is frequently visited by tourists on the safaris since it was named after the Elgeyo tribe, which lived in the huge caves on one side of mountain.

Mountain climbing on Mountain Elgon is an alternative and better than any climbing done in East Africa, this is because it’s easier to access throughout the year, it’s also less congested and it has got many attractions which are enjoyed by the tourists who come for safari visits to Uganda. The place has got good climate and a lower elevation and also the tourists to climb the peaks don’t require any equipments or special experience.

There are attractions found at Mountain Elgon and these include; the sasa trail which is the shortest but toughest route to the mountain peaks. Chimpanzees are considered to be the largest primates in the wild and they are mostly found in Kibale National park, which is located in the western part of Uganda, these are mostly visited by the visitors who come for chimpanzee tracking safaris in Uganda.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park has got a variety of Mountain gorillas which have attracted many gorilla trekking safaris to Uganda. However, these primates have been affected by many threats which have reduced their numbers hence affecting gorilla visits.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park has got many different wildlife which includes; monkeys, birds, and other animals which are added to the mountain gorillas, which are considered to be the great attractions of the park, all these have been affected by the poachers who enter the park and start carrying out illegal hunting of the animals hence reducing wildlife in the Park.
The diseases which affect the mountain gorillas also have reduced the numbers of wildlife, these affect different animals especially the mountain gorillas which are capable of contacting human diseases, this has greatly reduced their numbers hence affecting mountain gorilla tracking safaris to Uganda.
However, the aim of the park management is to help out the local communities living near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through giving them 10% of the revenue from the park, so that they can help in the conservation of the animals with in the park, this will helping in fighting park encroachment by the local communities. This will help in increasing gorilla tracking safaris to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Another threat to the park management is that the poor people who are living near the park have continuously entered the park, destroying the resources of the forest, this affects the wildlife since they loss their food hence some dying. The government however has come up with many conservation projects which are put in place in order to protect the wildlife in national parks; this is done in collaboration with the Uganda Wildlife Authority which is responsible for the protection of wildlife in Uganda. The local communities can sell the vegetables to the Lodges so that they can cater for the visitors who come for gorilla safaris to Rwanda. This can help the lodges to stop buying simple stuff from Kigali but can visit the local communities for the support.
In order to improve the mountain trekking adventures in Rwanda, the park management can also create income generating activities for the local people especially those living near the parks. These activities can include crafting making, encouraging agricultural projects and many others; this will automatically help in encouraging the local communities to engage in tourism development.
In addition to gorilla tracking safaris carried out in Rwanda, cultural dances by the local people for the tourists, preparation of Rwandan cuisines can also be done in order to make the local communities engage in the development of tourism in Rwanda. The tourists are allowed to pay $ 20 in order to enjoy the services after trekking the mountain gorillas.
This practice of engaging the local communities in tourism development has greatly helped the locals to become entrepreneurs in Rwanda and also knowing that tourism is the greatest income earner of the country.

The impact of vat on water to the development of Tourism in Uganda.

Water is so important in the development of the tourism industry, since most of sectors of the tourism industry depend on water as a resource. These sectors include the accommodation sector like the Hotels, lodges and guest house, the wildlife in the parks also depends on water for their living. This has also helped top maintain wildlife habitats hence attracting more safaris to Uganda.In order to reduce on the costs to the tourism sector, the parliament has asked the government of Uganda to drop the introduction of 18% vat on water, they say, that this will help in promoting and encouraging new investors to come and put money in the tourism sector which will later help in increasing the safaris in Uganda.This type of tax on water will affect the people who are poor and they are living in the urban areas that will not be able to access water due to the increased costs. This will not only affect the people but also the tourists who will come for Uganda safaris, since they will be asked to pay more than what they expected to pay.The other effect of this introduced Vat on water is that, it will be expensive for protected areas especially that harbour many wild animals to be able to get enough water to provide to the animals, which will bring about reduction in the number of animals due to drought hence leading to reduced numbers of safari visits to Uganda.In order to avoid problems with the tourism sector, the vat should only be introduced to piped water and not borehole water and other water bodies, this will help to provide enough water to the animals hence serving them from facing extinction with in their habitants, which will help to increase the number of safari tours to Uganda.
