The
climate of Uganda affects the nature of vegetation cover and
distribution. Northern region has hot and dry climate and hence leading
to savannah type of vegetation. The vegetation distribution has favoured
the habitat of savannah animals like African elephants, lions,
leopards, buffalos, giraffes, the antelope family among others in
Murchison Falls National Park and Kidepo Valley National Park which
attract safaris to Uganda.
Dry
season this the best season for tracking down animals because during
wet season the roads are bad and make travelling very difficult and
beside it is easy to see the animals because most of them comes to the
water point to drink water and hence safari visits to the park an exciting experience.
The
tropical climate of Uganda helps in maintaining the snows on Rwenzori
Mountains which is increasing safaris in Uganda. The tropical rain
forests of Bwindi impenetrable habitats the critically endangered mountain gorilla which enhances gorilla tracking safaris and tracking down these mountain gorillas can best be down during dry season
