The
town got its name from Sir Gerald Portal who was a British Special
commissioner for Uganda and his statue graces the main road of the town.
Fortal portal is known of having very good roads, hotels, Restaurants,
leisure parks which facilitate tourist experiences and therefore
increasing the number of safari visits in Uganda.
The
most beautiful and amazing Part about Fort Portal town is the fact that
it is situated between Kibale National Park, Queen Elizabeth National
Park and Rwenzori Mountains National Park, and with several crater lakes
and the semliki Valley lying near the town. This has given range of
options to tourists and therefore increasing the number of safaris in Uganda.
The
town has a very beautiful landscapes which provides tourists with an

kingdoms located within the border of Uganda.
Toro kingdom came in to existence in 1830 when Omukama Kaboyo Olimi 1,
the eldest son of Omukama of Bunyoro Nyamutukura Kyembambe 111 of
Bunyoro separated and founded his own independent kingdom. The
kingdom offers tourists a chance to experience there culture and also
the Palace provides a good spot for scenic and panoramic view of the
town which enriches tourists experience and therefore increasing safari tours to Uganda.
